With the race for time and resources well underway the
Soviet Union has just learned that the Germans are focusing their efforts on capturing
the city of Stalingrad. Unaware of the German location, Vilen Barkov an elite reconnaissance
soldier has been tasked with the mission to locate the German forces, find out
what their battle plans are and help ready the defences for the battle to come.
While under the command of Lt. General Vasiliy Chuikov,
Vilen is concerned for his life and worried about the hell that is going to
rain down on his the city in the near future.
Vilen, “General Sir, the talks between the soldiers are that
the Germans are preparing for the battle of a lifetime; I fear that I too am
starting to worry”
General, “Vilen the Germans are a strong force, there is no
doubt, but they are in foreign lands fighting us where we have an advantage!”
Vilen, “An advantage sir?”
General, “Yes, an advantage. While we do not have the strength
in mobile destruction forces that they do we are skilled in CQB combat. This is
something the Germans soldiers are very weak at.”
Vilen, “Is this so sir? If that is the case we may have a
fighting chance. If we can immobilize their armoured assault before they make
it to the city they will be forced to swarm into the city streets where we will
be ready and waiting!”
General, “Precisely Vilen. Now is the time that we prepare
for the battle; We will defend the City or die in the attempt”
With this new found hope Vilen is in search of the German
armies. At the same time in the city of Stalingrad: the 62end army is preparing
for the battle with the help of Vilen’s intel.
Will the Germans know what’s coming their way? Will Vilen be
safe on his recon mission? Tune in next week for updates on the Battle of
Stalingrad at Frontline!
